heey,

been taking torrents from here for some time now.. really happy with all this!

there is just one little thing...

my ears do not work as good as they supposed to.. 50% hearing loss on both
sides. i donãƒæ’ã¢â‚¬å¡ãƒâ€šã‚â´t really mind about it, but most of the shows are recorded with the
volume waaaay to low. and since you can actually decrease the soundvolume, but
canãƒæ’ã¢â‚¬å¡ãƒâ€šã‚â´t(well atleast not easily) increase it above max... i would like to ask the
people who record the shows to tune up their tv, or whatever the record with, a bit.

many thanks if this could be done!

no one on this site is actually responsible for capping shows so you are wasting
your breath.

although, if you use vlc (videolan.org), or media player classic (google.com)
you can give the sound a boost. also, if it's the larger (700mb+) files you're
talking about, you need to boost the ac3filter volume. google.com can provide
you with answers to any questions about the above.

i dunno much about the technicalities of audio ... but what exactly is the use
of ac3? it plays havock with non ac3 files and ac3 files practically cant be
heard without the filter installed. why do people encode with it? what
purpose is it actually meant to serve? is it a special 5.1 encode? please
explain ... :s

far from it, but since our pcãƒæ’ã¢â‚¬å¡ãƒâ€šã‚â´s are in the kitchen and i got 5 other family
members... iãƒæ’ã¢â‚¬å¡ãƒâ€šã‚â´m using head phones. point is, tuning down is a matter of a mouse
scroll. tuning it up is a more complicated.. see the point?

anyway.. i guess i got to live with it.
